Objectives
- To provide insight about the work of the SSE Brand & Design Team (the nature and type of work; where the work comes from; and timescales for different jobs. Overall trying to enhance the design strategies that were already in play.
- To make the work of the Brand & Design Team more efficient (make the design process and timescales per job more visible to clients; reduce admin for the Design Team; make reviewing and iterations to work more structured.
Challenges
Work requests were received by the Brand & Design Team from several different clients. The Team struggled to manage these requests efficiently, keeping clients updated on the progress of their requests and displaying to senior leaders the scale and variety of work completed by the team.
Solutions
Implementing design strategies can be a labour-intensive job. However, Workfront work management technology was able to configure, implement and manage requests and workload of the Brand & Design Team.
Impact
Adopting the Optima implementation approach of Discovery> Design> Deploy> Enhance we helped SSE to develop an efficient and transparent process for clients to submit requests to the Brand and Design Team, making the process more visible to clients and reducing admin and stress for the team.
We also developed a suite of reporting to allow the Team to analyse their workload and provide reporting to senior management on the work of the Team.
Benefits
Together with the Brand & Design Team Lead, the Optima team configured and implemented the Workfront system to manage and report on requests providing visibility of work to clients and an insight on the work of the Team to senior leadership.
